News from Our Website: In order to deeply implement the "Three Tea Integration" development concept and focus on the social phenomenon that matcha has been continuously gaining popularity in the global food and beverage industry in recent years, on January 9, 2026, the Tea College of Anhui Agricultural University, the National Key Laboratory of Tea Tree Germplasm Innovation and Resource Utilization, and the School Social Sciences Department invited Professor Zhu Shigui from Nanjing Agricultural University, who is the deputy editor of the book "The History and Technology of Matcha", to hold an academic report meeting titled "The Past and Present of Chinese Matcha" in the Tea Industry Building. Party Secretary Jiang Jiasheng of the College presided over the report meeting.

Professor Zhu Shigu began by introducing the concept of matcha, systematically reviewing the historical evolution of matcha in China, and elaborately analyzing the contemporary value and innovative preservation of matcha cultural heritage. This presentation brought an excellent academic feast to the participating teachers and students.

Before the meeting, Shen Zhougao, the director of the Chinese Tea Culture Research Institute of Anhui Agricultural University, and Zhang Chuanzheng, an associate professor, accompanied Professor Zhu Shiguai on a visit to the university and the tea culture exhibition center. They also provided a detailed introduction to the tea science major and the development history of tea culture research. Professor Zhu Shiguai presented new books, "History and Technology of Matcha", to Jiang Jiasheng and Shen Zhougao respectively, and had in-depth discussions on the future development of tea culture research at Anhui Agricultural University. Teachers and students from the Tea Industry College, the Foreign Languages College, Anhui University, Anhui Forestry Vocational College, Anhui Finance and Trade College, Zhejiang Agricultural and Forestry University, as well as the Anhui Tea Trading Center's Jiangnan Mengcha City and Anhui Huaxia International Tea Expo City, listened to the academic report.
